Julian D. Cooper, Ph.D., has been working with patents for over 19 years in the capacities of inventor, business manager, advisor and technical consultant.  His technical background and experience encompass the fields of biological engineering including medical microbiology, molecular biology, biotechnology and chemical engineering.  

Prior to being a technical advisor to our firm, Julian worked in the research area of interferon and did a post doc working on picorna virology. He joined PPL Therapeutics in 1989 and worked on many aspects of animal transgenics including gene cloning, construction design, project management and product development.  Julian has significant experience in various cross-disciplinary fields including those involving transgenic systems and biological devices.  In addition to this experience, Julian has been involved with several non-profit and community organizations such as the  Blacksburg Master Chorale and as a USSF Soccer referee.  

Julian attended the University of Bradford in England where he earned a BTech degree in Medical Sciences, and the university of Birmingham in England where he earned an MSc in Biotechnology and a PhD in Chemical Engineering.
